Anodized aluminum sheets are one of the toughest and most versatile metal products in the market. Once sheet aluminum is anodized, the surface of the metal becomes even tougher than what it was before.
The oxide layer that forms in the aluminum surface has ceramic properties, one of which is a heightened resistance to wear compared to the aluminum on its own. Anodized aluminum is better than untreated aluminum at resisting nicks and scratches, providing a more durable finish.
Aluminum sheet and aluminum plate are essentially the same; the only true distinction is in their respective thickness. Aluminum sheet is any aluminum sheet metal thicker than foil but thinner than 6mm; it comes in many forms including diamond plate, checkered /Chequered plate, expanded, perforated and painted aluminum sheet. Aluminum plate is any aluminum sheet metal that is thicker than 6mm

The 5052 plate offers excellent corrosion resistance and weldability while 6061 aluminum plate is one of the strongest and most commonly used heat treatable grades. Additional available grades include 3003, 5083, 5086, 5454, 2024, 7075.
