Colombia makes preliminary anti-dumping ruling on Chinese galvanized steel coil and galvalume steel coil: 29.9% provisional anti-dumping duty imposed

According to the China Trade Remedy Information Network, on July 19, the Colombian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism issued Announcement No. 204 in the official gazette, regarding galvanized steel coil and galvanized zinc alloy coils originating in China (Spanish: Lámina lisa galvanizada y galvalume y teja galvanizada y galvalume) made a preliminary anti-dumping ruling, which imposed a temporary anti-dumping tax of 29.9% on the products involved.

The measure will take effect from the day after the announcement is published in the official gazette and will be valid for six months. The Colombian tax numbers of the products involved are 7210.49.00.00, 7210.61.00.00 (only galvanized and galvanized ordinary plates), 7210.69.00.00, 7225.92.00.90, 7225.99.00.90 and 7210.41.00.00, tax numbers 7210.41.00.00 and 72 10.61

The above-mentioned anti-dumping duties are not applicable to galvanized corrugated sheet coils and galvalume-zinc corrugated sheet coils under the item .00.00.

On April 30, 2024, the Colombian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism issued Announcement No. 115 in the official gazette, launching an anti-dumping investigation into galvanized and aluminum-zinc alloy plate coils originating in China.
